At the break of a new year, Lamar University Football is off to an emotionally intelligent head start.

Sports Performance Director, Scott Reeves has approved the M.E.T. program; a select group of Lamar Football Coaches will participate in the instructor led course.  The M.E.T. program was introduced to Lamar through their participating and involvement with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes).

Lamar University particpates in the Southland Conference.  The Southland Conference is a college athletic conference which operates in the south central United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I for all sports; for football, it participates in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
