My daughter could tell that I was upset, so she ask, “Daddy, what’s on your mind” (she’s been well trained, lol).
I could not reveal the real subject of what was on my mind…there was no way that I could tell her that it was her mother that pre-occupies my destructive thoughts. I was put in a position…say what you feel or say what is true, loving and honorable. The challenge was to censor my words and find the best way to answer her question.

Frankly, I would rather pass this buck on to you; the discipline of “renewing my mind”.
I would much rather hold you responsible; it’s easier for me that way. This “renewing” requires too much discipline for me; taking my thoughts captive and renew my attitude.

When it comes to communicating with others, learn your communication channels. Truth is, people will not always tell you how they feel but they will always show you.
