Mature Safety Track:

Mature Safety™ is a soft-skill instructional program.
 
Mature Safety™ focuses on DECISION I.D. verses the traditional HARZARD I.D.  Similar in concept to  "leading" verses "lagging" indicators…if there is already a hazard or unsafe behavior to identify, decisions to create the hazard have already occurred (lagging).
 
In the case of most accident investigation reports a decision making trend is often revealed.  Research shows that averages of 3-5 decisions were made leading up to and causing an accident.  Mature Safety focuses on a proactive approach to decision making prior to creating an unsafe or hazardous condition.
 
Psychology and the study of human behavior clearly illustrate thoughts and feelings drive decision making (behavior).  Behavior…in this case “unsafe” behavior, is a by-product of what we think and feel.  It is at this interpersonal level of “judgment” or decision making that the Mature Safety™ program works to develop new levels of awareness and accountability.
 
Truth revealed, when dealing with difficult people, conflict or frustrating circumstances it is natural to "harbor" immature thoughts and emotions.  This natural instinct promotes the need for "Self-Awareness" training.  By identifying the nine (9) immature thoughts and emotions found in Module One (1) we can now create a new level of awareness.
 
Training Modules Two (2) – Five (5) promote "self-responsibility" and "self-accountability".  Tangible tools are created to aide in the development process.  The development and growth occur in incremental stages over time as the participant learns to use the tools created from the discussion groups.
